Look at the faces. And the pointing.
Sheer Shatner.
Enjoy. And click to embiggen.

The podcast where LT and JK, two geek babes, talk about Star Trek, science fiction, books, TV, the Internet, sex toys, and William Shatner's butt.

Post television columnist Michael Starr has signed a deal with Sterling & Ross to write a biography of legendary actor/singer/pitchman William Shatner.
From Slate:It should be more obvious yet that the casting department knew in an instant whom to speed-dial. In days gone by, when a great actor reached a great age—Laurence Olivier and John Gielgud come to mind here—he would take another go at the great Shakespeare tragedy about the mad king and his three daughters. In 2010, when a casting agent needs a great ham actor in his 70s, there is only one place to go, and $#*! My Dad Says is William Shatner's King Lear. The show's tag line seems to be, "The Shat hits the fan."Oh, Bill.
Wiping the truffled crumbs of one such canapé from my mouth, I asked Shatner how he thought CBS should refer to $#*! My Dad Says on air. Moonves had told me that there was an "ongoing discussion" about whether they'd go with "Stuff My Dad Says" or "Bleep My Dad Says" or "[Bleeeep] My Dad Says," but the star wants to be very specific about the vague noun: "We say spit; why can't we say shit?" said Shat. "Shit is a very natural function of the body. We shouldn't discard it."
A tipster thought an image of William Shatner over the headline 'How the Chinese Explain the Rash of Horrific Knife Attacks on Schoolchildren' might be the best contrarian Slate piece ever. But it seems it was just a mistake.
CBS has picked up the Twitter-inspired sitcom $#*! My Dad Says starring William Shatner, sources confirm.

What [the Willy Army Jeep] Says About Shatner: Tough, dependable, found all over the world. Just like Bill.P.S. He's had sex in every one of his favorite cars. Even the ones without a backseat.

These are fairly large cufflinks and are meant to draw attention.Ya think?

The former "Star Trek" captain will command a program called "Shatner's Aftermath" that looks at Americans who became overnight household names, such as The Unibomber and Iraq war PFC Jessica Lynch. This marks the second Shatner series on Bio, with "Shatner's Raw Nerve" returning this year. GRB Entertainment will produce six episodes.

The original Capt. Kirk, William Shatner, is [...] selling his custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle, his Golden Globe nomination certificate and the plaque he was presented when he got a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame in 1983. Shatner plans to donate a portion of the proceeds to the Hollywood Charity Horse Show, which helps handicapped children.P.S. Look at his butt!
Hop on over and read Shatner! The Long. Strange. Never-Boring Journey of a National Treasure (and yes, we know he's Canadian) by Andrew Corsello. You'll be glad you did.
My God, the bracing and embracing enthusiasm that is SHATNER! The music it makes, the staccatos and sforzandi and delirious swings of tempo and motif! Behold, now, Shatner, jamming, deep into a riff about the human palate (though the subject could be anything), the worlds open to it, and the worlds it can open: "For me, for me, you can't go too far pushing for MORE coffee taste. More BURNED. More GROUND. That's for me! This is my QUEST. Andrew, do you understand when I tell you that I QUEST?"

The Classic TOS font has a tendency for it's components to slant upwards to the right (if you know what I mean). For example the crossbar on the letter "H" is not horizontal, but slants upwards to the right.
However, the only time it does not, is in William Shatner's opening titles credit.*
The "H" in Shatner is perfectly horizontal, while every other time the font is used (closing credits in the 2nd and 3rd season etc.) it slopes up to the right.
* Note that this has been "corrected" in the HD versions
Dear William (or Bill) I'm not sure which you prefer, and forgive the formality if you prefer Bill.
I'm having an argument with another poster on a thread[.]
The discussion is about Captain's on away missions. We all know that Kirk lead his away team in almost every episode... but the argument that I'm having in particular is what did Kirk mean when he was talking with Saavik, and Saavik quoted that General Order Number 15 prevented Star Fleet Captains to beam down without an Armed Escort. Was Kirk lying to Saavik when he told her no such order existed? I can't find anything in official canon that describes exactly what the General Orders were. And I can't get CBS/Paramount to respond on this. How did you feel when you were acting this out? Do you think Kirk meant to mislead her? Or was Kirk being honest when he told her "I don't believe there is such a regulation?"

The answer to your question in simple: Kirk just wanted to get laid.
My best,
Bill
