Bill Conquers Art Again!

Can't believe we didn't know about this 2009 exhibit in San Francisco.
Butler explores what image-making does best: he imagines a world that should exist while questioning the one that currently does.
And how better to do this than with images of Captain Kirk?

See more and read about the artist, Luke Butler.

Bill Conquers Pain!

It's on the internet so it must be true.

In an article about Things Other Than Drugs That Relieve Pain, one of the Things was religion.

The following comment was NOT posted by us, hard as that may be to believe.
Become a devout Star Trek fan and you can get the same benifit from a picture of young William Shatner.

See? Your headache went away, didn't it?

WANT! WANT! WAAAAAAAAANT!

A wall companion for Big Cardboard Kirk! Made with "space-age new materials!"

Little lines pointing at the crotchal area that is disappointingly covered up by useless words--is that what you'd call subliminal advertising?

Galaxy Quest > Aliens

Courtesy of io9 (image from there too):
In between shooting up aliens in the new Jon Favreau Alien Western C&A, Sam Rockwell shared a little about his character, Doc, "I kind of serve as the Jimmy Stewart, Bill Paxton of the piece," Rockwell explained. "I'm sort of like sincere but I have those moments of levity." And after bringing up Paxton, he found it only right to give past credit where it was due. "I copied everything I did in Galaxy Quest from Bill Paxton in Aliens, I owe him some credit."

So does that mean that Sigourney Weaver in Aliens is really William Shatner?
