Show #220 - April 16

Episode 220 on MP3

Our interview with Marc Okrand!

We talk about linguistics, captioning, court reporting, Klingon, making movies, opera, Axanar, and so much more!

APOLOGIES FOR THE OCCASIONAL HEAVY BREATHING! We have a funky mic set-up for Skype interviews. Lene should probably fix that.

Outstanding interview! It was so engaging, I didn't even notice the alleged heavy breathing.

I didn't mind the heavy breathing, I found it nostalgic! It reminded me of a golf telecast from the 70s or 80s, with a whispering announcer breathing across his mike: "Let's go to fifteen. Ben?" "Jack Nicklaus has a tough eight-foot putt here . . . " WHOOM WHOOM WHOOM "It should break a little to his left . . . " WHOOM WHOOM WHOOM "He'll need to hit it a little firmly, but if he's too firm, it could run all the way to the water on this very fast green . . . " WHOOM WHOOM WHOOM WHOOM "This is for a share of the lead." WHOOM WHOOM WHOOM WHOOM WHOOM WHOOM WHOOM

That was indeed a very good interview, mostly because your guest was not one of those yes/no/silence types. He had interesting stories.
