YES!!!! Paramount has been dumber than fucking shit since 1968. The Viacom takeover and later split between CBS/Paramount has not helped, but of all the studios to have been involved in a property like Star Trek, Paramount was THE WORST! I have always thought it was just terribly unfortunate that Desilu wasn't purchased way back when by MGM instead. MGM, on the other hand, would probably have been just as stupid, considering that Debbie Reynolds couldn't convince MGM to convert its massive back lot into a tour before Universal did it. Universal can't seem to bring its stuff out on video, but it does understand how to treat its tentpole assets. It is so damn maddening to be a fan when the studio powers that be cannot be hammered into having a clue. Grrrrrrr!
